Guided Hunts
Spiral Horn Ranch offers guided hunts throughout the year. We provide one-on-one hunting of our African and other exotic species including Addax, Axis Deer, Blackbuck, Gemsbok, Impala, Scimitar Horned Oryx, and Wildebeest. We are happy to accommodate requests for other species you desire and may arrange for guided hunts either at Spiral Horn Ranch or our affiliates. We do offer native species including whitetail, turkey, feral hogs, dove, quail and ducks during annual seasons in San Saba Texas.
Our taxidermy services will complete your hunting experience allowing the enjoyment of your Spiral Horn Ranch hunting memories for generations. Our state of the art studio incorporates the latest in proven taxidermy techniques and technologies. All wildlife art created at Spiral Horn Taxidermy is completed on site. We tan our own hides to ensure that our clients receive the highest quality product. We have eliminated the possibility of lost hides and handling errors allowing us to provide faster returns of your mounts. Our daily interaction with wildlife allows us to reveal the natural poses of the species. Our access to exotic and native wildlife on and off the ranch provides us with alive reference material other taxidermists only see in textbooks or bound picture books. Our guests may enjoy fishing in one of our many catch-and-release ponds for bass and bluegill while at the ranch. We suggest light tackle and plastic grubs for the most exciting fishing. End the day with a great BBQ or campfire with great views of our scenic ranch.
I have over 25 years of experience in the lodging business and obtained a bachelors degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Michigan State University. We understand service and especially the need for a great meal after a long day in the field or on the road. Our meal plans may be customized to meet your dietary needs. Our guest lodge includes a full kitchen with granite countertops, luxurious cherry cabinetry, full bathroom with amenities, washing machine, entertainment center with satellite television, stereo and Internet access. Our sleeping rooms include a very comfortable queen size bed or twin beds.
I have enjoyed over 20 years of hunting experiences across the US, Canada, and Africa. Our family supports the Exotic Wildlife Association, Trophy Game Records of the World and other organizations. We welcome hunters that are looking for some of the best table fare in the world regardless of trophy quality. We welcome families, women, children, first time hunters, and hunters with special needs. We have specials hunts designed for Women only, Parent/Child weekends, and group events. Spiral Horn Ranch guides understand the needs of hunters using different tools during our safari style fair chase hunts and the behavior of our exotic species to enable the best possible chance for success. We hunt with bows, pistols, muzzleloaders, and modern arms each of which place certain skill and positioning demands on us and our clients.
