Taxidermy

Spiral Horn utilizes proven state of the art techniques and technologies to turn your memories into true wildlife art. Too many trophies that hang in our homes lack lifelike features and details in the nose, eyes, ears and facial expressions that make them a masterpiece. Our access to both exotic and native species allows us to create what appears to be living art.

Most good taxidermists use bound reference materials depicting features of an animal and attempt to recreate that within a mount. The Spiral Horn taxidermist not only uses bound reference material but also the daily observation of our own species as well as our affiliates to recreate the image of a live animal with character and personality. It is this exposure to live animals and our observations of their natural movements and personalities that allow us to recapture the essence of life that showroom quality mounts deserve.

Caring for and creating your mount throughout the skinning, fleshing, tanning, mounting, and finishing stages allows us total control over the creation of your cherished specimen. We incorporate the highest quality products and proven techniques into our creations believing that only the same will result in a work of art that passes your high level of scrutiny for years to come. We do not lose control of the process by sub-contracting services to other companies unless it is a form of taxidermy currently not performed at Spiral Horn. Any use of sub-contracting services is fully disclosed to our clients.

We provide taxidermy services for all species of animals, not just those offered for hunting on Spiral Horn Ranch. Hunters may bring their specimen to our studio as quickly as possible or call us to arrange for free pick-up within a 30-mile radius. We reserve the right to reject any specimen that has not received appropriate field care.

Allow us to create a work of art for you. Select from shoulder poses, half, or full body mounts. We are pleased to work with all of our clients on customized poses natural to the specimen. Please check our taxidermy pricing and policies section for additional information.
